Hollins Wood Childcare's aim is to provide a secure, stimulating and caring environment which will encourage your child to develop to their maximum potential whilst in a happy atmosphere. This will give your child the opportunity to freely express themselves through play and experience a wide variety of age appropriate activities.

A full list of all our policies and a hard copy of each policy is available to view in the nursery and copies on any policies can be printed out if requested.

Staff Training

Throughout the premises health and safety and security matters are monitored very carefully.  Every care is taken to ensure that the children are safe and secure at all times and every effort is made to train our staff in such matters.

All of our staff are obliged to attend courses to ensure they have paediatric first aid training, training in safeguarding all children in their care and fire training.  Staff are further encouraged to attend as many courses as possible

Standards of Hygiene

We are very particular about standards of hygiene.  Our toys, play materials, educational resources and equipment conform to the British Safety Standards.  Our nursery is cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis.  We strive to ensure that toys and equipment are of the highest quality and that they are appropriate for each section of the nursery school.

All equipment, toys and play areas are washed with anti-bacterial cleaner on a regular basis.  Dishwashers are used to ensure sterilisation of toys, cups, dishes and cutlery.  Children’s bedding is regularly washed and all washrooms and changing areas are cleaned very thoroughly.
