Children under the age of 2 enter our Under 2's rooms which comprises of three rooms. These rooms are run with a team of dedicated and caring staff of various ages. A lot of our staff are parents themselves and have experience with young babies.

Before starting at nursery you will be allocated a key person who will work with you on settling your child into nursery and getting to know you and your child, each child is treated as an individual. Every child in the nursery has the opportunity for free settling in sessions, you will be encouraged to stay for the first session whilst our staff get to know all of your child's likes/dislikes and any additional requirements they may have.

When your baby starts nursery upon collecting your child every day you will receive a sheet of what your child had to eat that day and how much they ate, times of sleeps and nappy changes and anything else the staff feel you should know. You also receive a book every evening of what your child has done that day together with photographs of your child throughout the day. We feel that the books in particular are very reassuring for parents when leaving their child and many parents say it is a lovely keepsake.

We provide all children with a nursery bag and a list of items to go into the bag such as a set of spare clothes and a comforter. We strive to make life as easy as possible for parents and therefore don't ask parents to prepare anything. We provide homemade organic food and will prepare all weaning foods, and if you measure out the formula in the bottle we will make up bottles as and when needed. We supply all nappies and wipes so you don't have to worry that you've brought enough!

As your child develops and grows they will move around within the three rooms. There is a designated sleep room for children to have a nap after their lunch. The staff plan for all the children's individual needs throughout the week and there are baking activities, painting, arts and crafts, water and sand play, messy play, music and movement to name just a few of the daily activities the children participate in! All children participate in daily outdoor play and walks to the park. We follow the EYFS and provide opportunities to experience the six areas of learning on a daily basis.

We are in the process of developing an enclosed outdoor area for our Under 2's which is accessed from the rooms so there is continuous outdoors provision for your child and your child can make the decision about where they want to play. The area has been designed to be used "rain or shine" and in mild weather can be used for outdoor eating.
